The following comments were collected from letters sent directly to our School Principal or our School Board, as well as letters to our individual teachers.

I moved my 5 year old daughter to SIS from one of Bali’s other more prestigious schools and since this time she has blossomed both personally, socially and academically.

In contrast to her last school she now cannot wait to get started every morning and is constantly amazing me with what she is learning there. S.I.S is one big happy family and the 'vibe' there is incredible. From the staff, to the students to the cleaners - everyone seems to love it.

I will be moving my other two daughters there as soon as they are of age.

Jaya too has thrived under Joanne's classroom approach. I have noticed a marked improvement in Jaya's reading skills and also his general attitude to learning and homework. Joanne's classroom theme "Dinosaurs" has been extremely enjoyable for Jaya and has stimulated not only an interest in dinosaurs but a general interest in natural science. For example Jaya has become an avid collector of insects since joining Joanne's class!

Being a trained teacher myself with a considerable background in modern competency based curriculum and assessment approaches I consider myself a 'difficult to please' parent. However I can honestly say that I am very pleased with Sanur Independent School because I see plenty of evidence that my children's learning has accelerated since attending the school. In terms of the classroom environment I think Sanur Independent School compares very favourably with Australian schools.
